C5 Borla Straight Pipes, damage hearing?
I recently purchased a 2004 C5 (auto) and was looking to getting a new exhaust for it. Currently the car is stock, but I was considering a set of Borla Straight pipes.
Ive tried to watch every YouTube video available for straight pipes, but was wondering how loud they are in person. For context, I had a straight piped Kawasaki Vulcan Motorcycle that was so loud that my ears would be ringing at the end of a 20 minute ride (I put a resonator insert back in because of this).
Will straight pipes be so loud that my ears would be ringing or I cant have a conversation while cruising at 2000 rpm on the freeway? I dont mind it being loud at WOT.

Safety Car
30k+ miles and counting with longtube headers and borla straights. It will drone at around 2100 rpms but I'm never cruising at that speed. No clue how it would be in an auto car though, might be tougher to avoid.

Drifting
Not unless you drive from the trunk It may be a tad annoying for a phone convo tho

I drove mine with a cutout just past the H pipe for quite a while.
It wasn't that loud. Nothing like one of those ear splitting Harleys you can hear from 1/4 mile away. But I finally got a proper axle back system and think it sounds much better.
