Default Balancer Wobble - How much is too much?

Went for a drive last night and as I got home and pulled into the driveway, the car started to make a chirping noise from the engine area. Got out and noticed the common balancer wobble. How much wobble is too much? I'll probably change it regardless bur what is acceptable?

Both belts were replaced last year (maintenance and oem) and the Ac compressor this year (leaking).

If you can visually see it wobble it's too much. Just a matter of time before it starts chirping and eating up your belt . Once it goes your in trouble so don't wait around for it to fail

once it starts wobbling that's the time to change it, don't wait.

Change it as soon as possible! The chirping is probably not coming from the balancer itself but rather one of the idler pulley bearings that are failing as a result of the wobbly balancer.

I went with a Summit under drive pulley when I did mine, I also had the front seal replaced because the wobble put extra stress on it and it was starting to leak.

...and the obligatory "dont get an OEM balancer - go with (commonly, Powerbond) "
