Coolant tank
Is the Dorman coolant tank a good replacement? Mine is leaking at the nipple where a small hose slips on, looks like it got bent, maybe I did it.
My car is a 1999, but I think this should work?

I used this tank (Dorman 603-140 Pressurized Coolant Reservoir) and bypassed the low coolant sensor (put a jumper wire in it to make connection) !!!!! ( I have a 99) I can see if there is coolant don't need a sensor to tell me !!!

The dealer wants $135 for the factory plastic with sensor. The advantage would be it would never crack or leak. Similar scenario with the all- aluminumDewitt's radiators are pretty pricey but eliminate the failure mode.

If you leave it unplugged you'll have the annoying Low Coolant Level message. By jumpering it your fooling it to think the level is good thus eliminating the level alert

I think the Dorman will work, just jumper that harness.
Or for 90.79 plus shipping rock auto has the AC Delco tank with sensor, maybe I should just get it.

If you feel that you just have to have the working coolant sensor then that is how you need to go.
Just as an FYI the low coolant sensing feature is not on 2000 - 2004 C5 and I have never seen anyone post any negativity about not having the feature. I have seen a number of posts about the sensor on the early cars getting crapped up from scum in the cooling system and showing low coolant when the level was actually fine............. Perhaps that is why GM eliminated the feature?????
Your call as after all its only money...
