the reason the MCM fits so well is because it is vacuum formed whereas other CF hoods are not...it is a time consuming and expensive process...that is why no one to date has started making MCM hoods again...there were only about 1200 standard MCM hoods and about 600 MCM s/c high rise hoods made...
sometime in the future the MCM hood will be made again but it will be much more expensive than the original $1600 -$1800 + shipping original cost...and there will be a huge waiting list for them( I have been on that list for over a year now, )...

Didn't know about the vacuum process, I just thought they had the best molds, interesting lol Yeah that price will put them on the scale with the lesser full carbon fiber hoods with high end full carbon being around 4k-5k. Fitment vs weight will be the last point for those trying to buy a hood around those prices Mine weighs 15lbs, but took a long time to get to fit it correctly.
