That hood fits exceptionally well, looks standard, and really sets off the look of your car!

Thank you for the positive comment ...I was amazed that it only took 15 minutes to switch hoods with no adjustments...

the reason the MCM fits so well is because it is vacuum formed whereas other CF hoods are not...it is a time consuming and expensive process...that is why no one to date has started making MCM hoods again...there were only about 1200 standard MCM hoods and about 600 MCM s/c high rise hoods made...
sometime in the future the MCM hood will be made again but it will be much more expensive than the original $1600 -$1800 + shipping original cost...and there will be a huge waiting list for them( I have been on that list for over a year now, )...

Didn't know about the vacuum process, I just thought they had the best molds, interesting lol Yeah that price will put them on the scale with the lesser full carbon fiber hoods with high end full carbon being around 4k-5k. Fitment vs weight will be the last point for those trying to buy a hood around those prices Mine weighs 15lbs, but took a long time to get to fit it correctly.

MCM hoods were hand processed at about 5 per week...that being said, there is probably a waiting list of 1000+....so it may take a while to get one even if they start making them tomorrow...

Love the hood but needs some mods, wheels and get rid of the 4x4 stance!!! I'm not a big fan of stock looking c5's they are kinda blahhh. IMO
