I'm getting ready to change a friends convertible lid struts because he said it won't stay up to put the top down, I've done this before for another friend in the club but I didn't order the parts they did. My question is what is it called, convertible lid struts or what, all I've only owned coupes.

I think they refer to the convertible cover area as a tonneau. When I hear the term hatch, I think of the rear glass section on a coupe. I have a Z06 so I don't have either.

Oreilly had them for a good price when I bought them last summer.
Ordered them in the late afternoon and picked them up the next day.
