Planning to get OEM Wheels Powder Coated, looking for some color ideas
As the title states I'm looking to get my oem Speedline wheels powder coated soon and I'm thinking about going with Satin/semi-gloss Black.
I currently have a set of gloss black C6Z wheels on it now and while I like the black wheel look I think the gloss finish is just a bit too "glossy" for the car and stands out more than I like.
I'm curious to see what routes others have gone who have had their wheels re-done in a color other than the factory argent gray or black. If so please post 'em up as I'm wanting to see if something really catches my eye or sparks an idea.

I have a powder coat side business I do along with the textile plant... Ive always liked the sandblasted look with a matt clear over it! No one has that and its sweet!

I painted mine, smoke gray metallic, and went with a single stage vs base/clear. It give more of a semi-gloss look since the metallic is right at the surface and not covered by clear.

I actually already ran that color on my wheels for a couple years.
Did the same thing with a base coat/clear coat, unfortunately the paint didn't hold up as well as I was hoping thus why I'm planning to have them stripped and redone. It does look pretty good though so it could be a possibility...

The factory wheels are painted, not sure what they used but it was very durable for paint. I think more so than the paint I used but we'll see down the road.
PC will be more durable for sure and a lot less work, you just have to decide on a color.
My 2013 Camaro 1LE with the ZL1 wheels were also paint, it looked like a single stage semi gloss to me, and the paint was very thin. Not nearly as durable as the 2002 wheels.
