Default Exterior modding opinions needed and cam question

First question, 2 parts.

My c5 is machine silver and atm My c7 is black and the rims are blacked out. Should I get rk sport canards and zr1 side skirts to match factory paint or get the vortex front bumper and zr1 sideskirts painted black to match everything the rims and spoiler? Lowering will happen before hand. Pics with any above setup would be great 2nd question: Do I really need to rivet the holes or can I just use bolts to do the bumper and side skirts?

Second question:

I have an a4 and am running full headers with cats, borla straights and intake. I want to do a cam and keep my stock diff and torque converter. The stage 3 low lift cam from TSP is what Im looking at, but I dont want to get it if it wont give me a better lope than stock. What is cheaper and net me the same hp( tsp stage 3 is 54hp) and can use the stock diff and tc? I DO NOT TRACK THE CAR. I just want a nice cam sound when I start the car, go to shows etc without hurting driveability, reliability and to keep my diff and tc without it blowing up with my lead foot.

I used screws for my side skirts and bolts and nuts for my front spoiler.

Make sure your front spoiler has ample air openings.

Ok, what about the cam question? I really want to endeavor into getting a cam for the car.

First of all, where did you get your side skirt? I would take that vs the zr1.

My side skirts are made by Stinger Fiberglass I bought them from Corvette Mods. I believe ACI also makes side skirts that look very simmuler.

I think your car looks great the way it is. Most RK stuff I've seen is kind of weird looking, but your choice and all that... Love the stripes. Re cam; do you have the optional 3.15 rear? Even with an A /T, you can run a bigger cam than you think if your tuning is good. I'd go for something about 224-228 /112 for a nice lope, and easy tuning.

Appearance : I always say less is more and to keep it simple. These cars typically start looking goofy with body mods. Even wide fenders can look trash... Though I think wheel diameter has a large role in that.

I have an a/t and lucky to get the 3.15 gear. Texas speed and performance told me this is the best for what im looking for. They said that it will be a nice lope that isnt too aggressive.

  • Stage 3 Low Lift 216/220, .550"/.550"
  • 112 LSA

I'd still go bigger. That's about the size of a ZO6 cam, minus the LSA.

IMO a cam with A4 and no extra stall is kind of a waste. I understand your wanting the sound of a cam but the stall will do a lot for performance without hurting drivability and with a cam its a whole new car.

Ask in tech section for more opinions on tech and performance, lots of those guys hardly ever post over here. Just a thought.
