Default Trading my vet

Looks like the end of being a Corvette owner.I have been looking for a new "to me" boat and yesterday I found the one I wanted . The owner wanted 17k and I told him I would give him my white 2001 C5 convertible with 49k on it and in return he would give me the boat plus $1000.00. The boat has just been repowered with a new 115 HP Merc 4 stroke and a new 15HP Honda kicker that together cost him 13k. The boat is a kickass 17 ft Arima Ranger. I'm as happy as a clam in high tide.

Sounds like a nice low mile vert that you are letting go of but I do want to wish you best of luck with the boat. Perfect time for getting out on the water. Take care!

The two happiest days in a boat owner's life....

The day he buys it, and the day he sells it.

I bet the seller is happier than you at the moment... so much that's he's even adding $1k to the deal.

Sounds like you had your fun with your Vette, and now it's time to have "new" fun with a new boat! Enjoy!

Couldn't agree more, but good luck with your new venture.

Boat = "a hole in the water where you pour money"
Corvette - will retain value unless you start a money pit with mods

I have several of both, good luck! Hope this works for you.

Have fun with your new toy. We had a 32' Cruiser for 5 years and after some minor repairs the first season we LOVED it! Hated to see it go but we moved away from the water. Maybe in a few years we'll pick up another one when we retire to the Clearwater Beach area.

Boat stands for "Break Out Another Thousand" so your wallet may not notice the difference.

Good luck! I went with the used Vette and skipped the boat this year, it could have gone the other way though.

Enjoy!
