Newbie w/ Low Mileage 50th Anniversary
Hi all! After being a long term voyeur and "want-to-be" owner... I finally made the plunge. I picked up a practically pristine 50th AE with just over 20k miles. The previous owner was a pilot, and judging from the records and the condition of the car...this car was his "baby" when he wasn't flying his plane.
One question.... I found the 50th Anniversary emblem in the attached photo the trunk. What is the "story" behind this piece?
Thanks

Looks kind of like an exhaust enhancer plate or a piece that may fit over the battery. You might want to talk with the previous owner and see what he has to say.

Oh yeah, one more thing. If it feels like you're AE hits bumps hard, check for shock stuffers in the shocks.
