Sun visor rebuilding?
A while back there was a vendor that was rebuilding sun visors in leather. You sent them your visors they recovered them and sent them back. Who is doing this work now? I want to get my c5 done and dare I say it, a 2006 gto.
Thanks for looking

Those Custom Vette Creations units are the prettiest visors I have ever seen. I just got a set of reproductions from Ecklers, and have to ponder whether to install them or sell them to someone else...

I've got a damaged drivers side visor in black on Anne's 2001.
It's coming apart and the cardboard inside is bent/damaged.
What did it cost and what kind of a turn around time on a rebuild or replace? Thanks.
Anyone have any ideas, thanks.

It appears the turn around is 6-8 weeks or a couple of months and i still don't know the cost after shipping both ways.
I'm trying for something quicker, as she drives it daily and it's falling apart now.
I may just have to order the ebay deal they have posted above, we'll see.
I'll have a search/peek at the Ekler site though and see what appears to work best for me. Thanks for the PM's and replying and information guys.

Just called my local Chevy dealer for prices on one and to see if they had the clips in stock, for when I break one.
Holy moly, $264.04 total, if I bought just ONE visor from them and it's not in stock either.
Guess I'll be going on Ebay to order the $140.00 set of 2.
They do have the clips, so I can get another if I break it when attempting to remove and install the new one though.
Update: ordered and should be here Friday. Thanks again.

I just got mine back from the vendor who is no longer a supporting vendor.
I had mine done a couple of years ago - with the Homelink device I had and the illuminated mirrors. Fast forward to present, the shitty covers on the mirrors both broke off, leaving the lights on all the time. I contacted the vendor and I had him re-do the visors and eliminate the mirrors - which is what I should have done from the beginning.
Turn around was about 6 weeks - workmanship is excellent. The vendor kept me updated with status and is very easy to work with.
I can be PM'd if anyone is interested in the contact information. I can't list that information as he is no longer a supporting vendor - forum rules.

My Visors still look like new, but I would like to add "Homelink" to mine.

I just picked some visors up for my C5Z from Vette Villains on Facebook.
They use original visors and deletes the mirror from them so to avoid the common issue of the mirrors continually falling out of them. They matched my interior great and are perfect. I never asked, but I am sure if you wanted, they could do them in Leather as well.
