Default 1957 Corvette Project Car at Carlisle

Anyone else come across this gem? That buyer looks like they are going to have their hands full, but I'd love to see an after pix if a restoration is undertaken!

The vegetation still looks green so it should clean up pretty easy.

It should buff right out. I am guessing if it was parked in a wet area where moss grows like that, the frame is probably rusted away.

Old Man's pic makes it look better than it was in person. Even the Fiberglass was rotted which seems unbelievable.

Whoa! The buyer has more courage, skill and money than I do, but it's great someone is going to bring it "back to life."

That car is probably worth more as a show stopper, as is, than restored.

He got $13 or $14K for it. Sold it to a restoration shop who's going to keep it as-is for display purposes, as rumor has it. He also sold the '54 to someone else.

That pic of the 57 brings up some mixed emotions. I missed out on a 57 when I was 18 yrs old due to a mistake by a "friend" and that's when my love affair started with Corvettes. I waited another 40 years before I bought mine.

That moss on top was too healthy to be hiding in a barn. I heard that the 'car' was sold for $30k.
