Posts like these are making it harder and harder for me not to pull the trigger on a set of new fenders for my Z. the hard crease between the fenders and bumpers on our cars drives me nuts though

That hard crease seems to get accentuated with silver... not very forgiving, at least in the photos. That said, you won't regret getting new fenders!

Aaron this was a good purchase for you and I am glad that you are satisfied.
To me these fenders are not a bolt on . They need work ( you are satisfied with a few pin holes
I would not be happy) That means more work at the paint shop. I don't like your gaps; high in
some places low in others..The fender does not mate to the rear fasia,it's not flat to the panel.
Your wheels are outside of the wheel well. Stones and such will destroy your paint. If you race , one time
with the rear wheel off the ground (or at least full coil over extension) and you have a damaged fender.
Cudos for the mod , it is just not finished.
Good luck

Did you not see this thread? https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...r-fenders.html
people who think these after market parts are a walk in the park.
It takes money, time and effort for a good out come.
Your pretty clever, I thought you would see what I was trying to say.

This thread is still relevant, after two years or even more, because there is still lots of interest, in C5 widebody conversions. As soon as my new TPE fenders arrive, I'm going to give it a shot myself, this Winter.
Hopefully, you don't take offense at my response. I've been doing this stuff for a very long time and I'm almost certain you have, too. Best thing we can do is share some of our experiences and let the chips fall where they may.

Maxgee is interested in a pair of wider rear fenders. I tried to answer his question. Yes, many people have had difficulty installing wider quarters but a whole lot more C5 owners have not. We can't deny how many cars have them.

I haven't texted Jeff in quite some time, but as far as I know he is still having the fenders made at RK Sport. It's a weird process, but you have to text Jeff and set up payment, then he notifies RK Sport and they make them and ship.
