I'm pretty sure it was stated in the OP that the buyer tried to contact the seller regarding the issue and the seller was unresponsive. Clearly the seller is NOT on the up and up.

Then it's over. The deal is done. The seller is not going to be any more responsive if the OP shows up at his house. There is no return and refund policies for private sellers.
