Burning Brakes
This was my 93.
It was completely stock and old man looking when I bought it with narrow steel wheels and an ill-fitting cap. I only had it about a year as the timing guides cracked and I didn't have the space to work on the truck at the time to pull it all apart to replace the guides. I wish I still had it because I ended up selling it for what I paid, less all the parts I added, but now the value on those trucks are through the roof, especially since it was a desirable 22RE / 5MT / Xtracab truck.
This was my 2013 (RIP). I bought this one new and it was completely stock. I added the ARB, wheels, tires, lift, roll bar, auxiliary lighting, CB, etc, etc. I LOVED that truck and it pained me when some moron crossed the center line and drilled me. The ARB protected me from being more hurt but it ended up taking out the truck's frame in the process. I got an excellent settlement from the accident as I had receipts for all the parts I added and bought the 2016.
I have a set of those same black TRD wheels sitting in my cellar. I'm working on liquidating everything I've got laying around I don't want so I can get a set of 265/75 BFG KO2s to mount on them. I've even decided to sell my Radioflyer ACA setup to help fund.
Blah, I miss the 2013. The 2016 has a nicer interior and has a sunroof, but the 2013 had a much better motor and was so much better looking because of all the mods. I had a 5AT in that truck, so I can't directly compare the full driveline, but I don't like the power delivery in the 2016, one of my only knocks, but still one nonetheless.
