Hi Dave- yes, same exact trailer lights as everyone else and I do have 6 of them. I did already wire one of the spare lights with the same connector and have the same issue. I wonder if it is in fact the pigtail/connector that's the culprit.

If it were me, I'd take the wiring apart and re-do it. Just a thought.

I had already tried that. I ordered a new set of connectors/pigtails and it ended up working (so it was a defective connector all along)!

Thanks again to the OP for this awesome inexpensive mod. Really updates the look of the C5 and I haven't done anything to modify the LED lights like others have with the halos etc.

Thanks for updating this thread with your fix for it. I'm sure it will come in handy for some one with the same issue.

Help!
I ordered and received the trailer lights for the rear tail light mod, I also ordered and received, C5 Corvette LED Hyper Flash Harness hyper flash by Corvette Envy and 4 x 3156 3157 4157 Socket Car Bulb Holder Adapter for Turn Signal Light.(All Parts ordered from EBay)
I have everything in stalled and hooked up, all 4 rear light are working and look great, but I have NO right or left rear turn signal. I have front right and left, but NO rears?
Any Ideas what I may have done wrong. Didn't have time to check my work, because I had to head off to work. The wire connections I used is listed below.

Page #80 on Corvette Forum

Cool thank you! Since those adapters are black/red/blue how did you wire them?

Adapter Red > LED BLACK ??
Adapter Black >LED WHITE
Adapter Blue > LED RED ??

Thank You In Advance

from post #42 (I think). Unfortunately I did not keep a record of the corresponding colors on the harness but you should be able to figure it out from this info

OEM tail lights:

Left lamps have:
Brown connects to the LED BLACK wire
Black(ground) connects to the LED White wire
Yellow connects to the LED RED wire
---------------------
Right lamps have:
Brown connects to the LED BLACK wire
Black(ground) connects to the LED White wire
Green connects to the LED RED wire

This is what I followed.
Also remember: LEDs are polarized but the plug on the wiring harness can be inserted into the stock bulb socket either way. Check each one before connecting everything. If the LEDs don't light up, rotate the plug 180°

just used a different wire connection sequence. I will try your wiring sequence and see what happens.

Thanks

Now that I look at those again they have an extra light on the bottom of them for a license plate or something. I'd probably pass on those. I'll keep looking and see if I can find anything.

Anyone have an issue with some of the small LED bulbs within the tail lights burning out? I have a lot of interior LEDs in my car also, along with LED headlights, so wondering if too much voltage is running through these tail lights? Not sure if that's the root cause, or just poor quality of these tail lights?

Well they ARE really cheap and maybe you got a bad batch. They did come 6 to a set, so you should have 2 spares. Are all of them giving you trouble?
Like you, I've replaced virtually every incandescent bulb with LEDs and have not had a problem (that is until I installed the Dyna Flash tail light flasher. That thing threw error codes)..

Tried this mod recently and it still works perfectly. Ordered lights off ebay (Note: could only find 2 lights per order, so bought qty 2 for 4 total lights). Got the male connectors off amazon to have plug and play lights. No modification to cars wiring. Nice and bright plus a major upgrade look over stocks all for a total of $70 bucks.

Mine are still going strong 2-3 years later and I still love the look over stock, especially for the low price paid.

The previous issue I mentioned was actually a non-issue, it was the angle from which I was looking at the light made it appear that some of the LED diodes were dimmer.
