Thanks for the detailed PM.

Posting this here in case this here to possibly spark others' imaginations.

Planning to put the smaller C5 pilot bearing in, and before I install the clutch, I'll put just the torque tube in (without transmission attached) and bolt it down to the bell housing. That way I can look in from the bottom and visually inspect the input shaft to pilot bearing engagement. Once verified I can then install the clutch and everything else knowing 100% I'm good to go.
