Vote - Red Stripe on Chrome Rim

I don't care for it myself as I think it looks too busy. But, as others have said, it doesn't matter what I think but rather what you think!
No won't get 100% consensus on anything.

Possibly.
But this particular car (yellow convertible) is so far over the edge with every JC Whitney doo dad and chrome this and that. Gaudy doesn't begin to describe it.
But hey, to each his own........

Maybe if you lowered the front end a bit then ask for another vote might help you. I personally think if you like it, which is probably why your trying to illicit an opinion, go for it but please lower your car by at least 1 to 1 1/2". Do a search here on lowering. Love the TR!

Ok Ill bite - why? Why do I need to lower my suspension?
I just looked up C5's on google and almost all the STOCK Vettes look just like mine... Im not into dropping the height so it lays on the ground - I want the look of stock.
If your telling me that my C5 is higher than stock - then we can absolutely talk - if your telling me to lower it just to change a "look" - then I respectfully decline.

If you like it , do it. I don't think it hurts or helps looks of car. One concern I would have, you will probably have to redo each time tires are replaced.

I'm not saying slam your car, I'm saying even out the gap around the wheel wells so the top is no bigger than the sides. I just think it looks a lot better but that's just my opinion.
most cars are like that..... trucks are not

How do you know the pictures you were looking at were of cars that were not lowered?
All I can say is that the wheel gap on a stock C5 is NOT attractive to me. You certainly can't "slam" these cars unless you go with an air ride system. You would never be able to drive it out on the street. But lowering ~1" or so improves the look and it's still functional as a street car.

You do realize there is an in between though right? Not just stock high and slammed low. If you want the car to look the part by adding red stripes and chrome replica wheels, then most people would agree a slight lowering would only compliment both mods you've already done.

I'm no expert so take it for what it's worth. I have read many times here that C5s were shipped to the dealership not in their final state and many of the dealers did not lower them to what they considered the optimum position. So stock height is a relative term. Maybe?

Does anyone know how many turns it takes on the stock bolt to drop the suspension 1 inch? Is it a different number of turns for the front vs. the back?
All of the videos show them dropping to the MAX...
Thanks!

I just realized something... The other day, I jacked up my car, and took my wheels off to clean them... To keep it clean and prepared for an upcoming show, I haven't driven it... Would that cause my suspension to be up higher than normal since I had it jacked up?
I ask because look at this picture from a few months ago - does my suspension look high in this photo?

As far as how many turns are needed to lower it. You might find that your stock front bolts may or may not have lot of threads exposed under the spring. From what I've read on this forum through the years that virtually every C5 varies in "factory" height.
Having said that, I would suspect by looking at the photos you probably have a sufficient amount to play with. It's not hard to do and you'll find that a search on here on how to perform the task.
As far as a proportional look, below is a good example adjusting the stock bolts: Before and after photos.
