Cool, but I'm not sure I'm ready to do it to my car. I really like the race car look but not sure it works on my street car, even though it has the mild race car look. I think a front splitter would come first. Just wish someone made a nose lift kit like Lambo's have. I have front canards with scrapes on the bottom.

If the car is used on the track and this was installed for function, then . But if for appearance, then that's ricey IMO.

I actually loved the look of your car before this wing.

I really liked the looks of your Corvette, now
As far as the wing being functional, no, definitely not for track use where speeds don't get that high. Cars with hidden spoilers don't even deploy until speeds reach about 70 mph.

Just how "functional" will your "aero" be? I mean how many times a year will you be going around the track at triple digits?

If you are going to race it, rock on. Driven on the street, looks like it belongs to a teenage ricer.

Exactly, drag is not why you mount a wing.

But looking "kewel" is a good reason. Isn't it? You think?

Hey, it is his car. If he likes it, that's all that matters. I just think its funny when people add BLING aero and tell everyone they can feel it functioning properly driving to the car show.

I like extreme aero on race/track cars... form follows function.

For a street car, I again opt for form follows function.

Certainly nothing I would add to mine, but if he's happy that should be all that matters.

I agree. But when you post pictures in an open forum, you kind of set yourself up for any and all opinions. They're not all going to be good.......

Its a good thing he didn't post this in the autocross/road racing section. They would have a field day with his pictures.

Ok...........
1. Nice start on your aero package. Don't worry about the
negative comments.
2. APR makes a nice aero splitter that really works. Right now
at speed you are going to find yourself into the wall. No balance.
3. More downforce a real diffuser, canards, and side skirts.
4.The APR wing is great but you must insure the the bolts don't
loosen. Keep them tight.
6. Consider another hood. You do not have any downforce with
your present hood.
7. The faster you go the more your car will want to lift.
Downforce is the key.
Good luck.

I didn't have any negative comments. I was just pointing out the right way to install aero to make it functional. If he didn't say he was making it a track toy, I would not have commented at all. Its fine for car shows.

Oh yes.............
Consider a rear spoiler. It would work in conjunction with the
wing. I have one and I was going to take it off when I installed
the wing. I consulted with the engineers at APR and they
convinced me that their R&D showed a benefit keeping
the spoiler.

A spoiler AND a wing. Doesn't get much better than that........

I think overall it does match the flow and lines of the car, but the artwork on the back doesn't seem to match the "all business" attitude of the wing.

I will also agree with some members that it just seems a bit redundant to run this only on the street. However, it looks like you have big plans to slowly turn this thing into a road course beast. I'll be following your progress!

That is great. As long as you are happy with your car, that is all that matters. Is your aero set up bolted to the frame of the car? If you consulted with the engineers at APR, then I am sure it is! Great job! It is so nice that people do their homework before installing aero.
