What compels you to assume that anything on this car is stock lol. One side is feeding a B&M trans cooler, and the other side is feeding a DRM diff cooler. I felt the space was better suited for those things than to feed the rear brakes. I like how people are always so quick to judge and expect this car is stock, when it so clearly is not

I said it on FB...I'm saying it here.. Car looks great..Way better than what I've seen from so called car guys and "purists".And some Vette owners are the worst offenders..Gaudy Chrome accents,,Black wheels with no offset that makes it look like it has winter steel wheels on it,,Windshield banners that say "Corvette"..And the worst offender imo is Lambo doors which are hideous on anything but a Lambo...Like others have stated..If you put it out there,,everyone will have a different opinion..I personally love the wing...

I've got your rice RIGHT HERE Riteaidkid84 Don't be so quick to jump to conclusions dude.
I used to half mile / one mile drag this car, which is why it got a rearend, and trans cooler added to it. At one time it had a big hit of nitrous too. This was coasting in neutral entering the slow down lane at the end of a one mile event at a runway. The guy ahead of me on the right beat me out of the gate, and all the way down the track lol, but 182mph is a respectable number for a C5 IMO. I was going a little faster, but it was too much of a butthole pucker moment to take a picture of my HUD while I was throttle down at those speeds
This is also why I cut the vents in the hood, since around 160, the front end gets way too light. I really need to convert it to a front breather is what I need to do, but, all in good time the PNW never gets super hot, but once I've got a proper splitter, and my gear box is capped off, there will be more need for it.

That's only 42 mph faster than he goes
What's that......a measly 30% more
I was waiting for you to chime in on the stable at 140mph thing
I'm not a big fan of high speed as I have a vert and it is definitely not that stable at 150. But getting up there is pretty fun with the SC.

I think that your wife is going to notice the spoiler.
Nice job on the installation.
We each enjoy our cars differently.

I would definitely have sank more money into this car if I wasn't married (for better or worse) lol. She is super frugal though, and we don't have kids, so the money is there, and she supports my car obsession. I'll keep her she teaches hatha yoga, manages an office, does all the house work, AND home brews beer...I am a lucky man

Just came across this thread. Wing looks great. My only preference on wings like this are that the pedestals are mounted more inward like a Countach wing, such as this one. Anyway, car and wing looks great!

are the struts strong enough to allow the hatch to stay open?

Yes, the hatch struts are fine with it. However, when I hit just the button on the dash, it won't disengage from the catch, so I have to pull up with one hand on the hatch while I am cycling the key button for the rear to open it. Once it is open, it stays open though.
I actually just did a photo shoot the other day, so I can post some better ones It was what wil probably be the last 70 degree day of the year where I live, so I hit the twistys on my favorite mountain road

Dude I get it!!! Others don't quite understand functionality over form. As soon as you get the wide body fenders it will look even more at home.
