I did a thing! APR GTC-300 67" carbon wing installed
I think the next thing is a cage My wife was adamant about me NOT turning this one into a race car...but that is slowly happening The install took about 2 hours, taking my time (there were no instructions, but it is pretty straight forward). I bought it from Southern Car Parts, which is a vendor here on the forum

Lol, I think you last couple of members who have commented here need to read ahead in the thread. Besides this being a 3 year old thread that's been resurrected, you might find your comments a bit silly given the context.
This wing is the largest allowed by the governing body who overlooks the series I was building the car for. I don't need any help building race cars, I've been doing it for 2 decades. I've raced in vintage roadster series, ST2, TT2, circle track, and everything at my local speedway from figure 8's, to pro-street
Besides, I have 2 other cars I'm working on right now, and I haven't even touched my Vette in so long, that I took it off my insurance Doesn't have a wing on now though. Corona killed this year if ST2 for me, and I just turned it back into a street machine.
Still have the wing though
Here's Some pics of my new cars. One is a pro-touring 1956 Chev 210 hardtop, the other is a 1968 Jaguar E-type that my father and I are restoring

I prefer clean and simple, that scribble and whale tail just ruin it IMO. Your car, enjoy.
Didn't think I could like the wheels but they are quite sharp.

Not to fight your choice, but an F1 wing on an F1 car is nothing in common to one on a street car. Will you remove the passenger seat next? Windshield, windows... it is not an F1 car. Anyway, enjoy it. That's all that matters.

I like wing cars, most people don't. Almost everything I put into my car is function over form as well. I grew up enjoying cars with lots of crazy aero, that was my reference, so no need to be so triggered or whatever. Besides, mine is actually slowly transitioning INTO a track toy. I don't know many people that have the kind of money that requires to do it all at once.

If my car needs a wing I'll mount it, but I know it won't need it for very long time.

Not a mod I will ever do, but it is your car and if the wing helps you in your goal for a complete package, then congrats on the install.

Yeah, I realized my extrior modifications are already almost done, so I'm just gonna finish that out before I build the internals more extensively. I plan on either getting an undertray extension to add to the splitter that is already there, or getting a black dog speed shop bumper, but I gotta get a little more over time at work for that BDSS stuff is redic expensive.

Only problem is its not bolted to the frame of the car. When you get the front splitter, it should be attached to a undertray that is also bolted to the frame of the car. If you are just going for the "race car look", then you don't need to do all that.

That's a mod that takes some stones to add to your car. I think it looks cool, but I probably wouldn't add to mine. Don't you have to be going like 150 mph or more for it to be functional?
