Headlamp dropped down - Need Pin Part#
Hey guys,
While driving home tonight, my passenger headlamp seemed to be "bouncing" and then dropped down.
Upon inspection, it looks like I lost that bolt/pin that goes into a bracket that secures that metal arm that holds up the headlamp assembly.
Does anyone know what part(s) I need to order - I need that bolt/pin and the small round "stopper" that holds it in place.
Its showing in #10 where the arrow is pointing - that small pin and stopper on either side at the top of that arm/bracket.
Thanks!

Pretty sure it can't be bought from GM. I had the same problem when I bought my car in 2010. I lucked up on a member selling just some headlight parts and they included what I needed. Might try posting a WTB ad in the classifieds too.

I agree with both of the posts above, especially post #2. I have called Marc up a few times for some odd, small parts and he has come through for me.

UPDATE #1:
Called two Dealerships - both said to get that pin and stopper I need to buy the entire headlamp assembly - $1000+
UPDATE #2:
I remembered that under the headlamp assembly, there really isnt anyplace for a bolt to fall through to the ground - its pretty much enclosed by all the air dam and plastic covers... Low and behold, I found the bolt just laying there - but not the stopper...
Im wondering if I take the bolt to home depot would they have the stopper that holds that pin in place?
Here is a picture of the bolt and stopper from the driver side still intact - what I need is circled in RED:

UPDATE #3 - RESOLVED!!
Went over to Home depot and bought these - a hitch pin with holes (almost the exact same size as the GM Pin) and a 1/4" hitch pin - both are pictured next to the GM Part on the right (Pic #1 below).
Fit perfectly, and the hitch pin slide in nice and tight...its not going anywhere...and there are no threaded edges on the pin - smooth just like the GM part - so nothing will wear. (Pic # 2 and #3 below).
While in there, I decided to tighten up all the bolts that were visible, and now I dont have any headlamp vibration like I had... Not bad for a "know-nothing mechanic" such as myself...LOL

The OEM parts are sloppy and prone to failure.
