Default Some Pictures from my first autocross!

First autocross event ever! The Z preformed flawlessly, never missed a beat. This was the most fun I have had in a car with all my clothes on! I think I may be addicted. I cannot stop thinking about the next race, or how I could have braked later or gotten back on the gas sooner. First run to last run I cut 9.8 seconds off.
Mods, if this is the wrong section please move.

Few more pictures. The Autocross event was hosted by the Kalamazoo Corvette Club. It was open to whomever, but only Corvettes showed up. 42 Drivers competed.

Awesome looking car. One of my favorite Vetts at the event. Are you going to MIS at the end of the month?

Do it! I knew that the Z handled great and was a quick car when i bought it. The autocross allowed me to experience the car in a way I could never have on the street. The capabilities of these cars is astounding(mine is stock, except Vararam CIA). I was amazed at how far you can really push these cars and the keep taking it. Because of the event, I have a whole new appreciation for my car and all Corvettes (I really liked the car before)

Planning on it, as long as the weather holds up. You?

Thanks for the info. I can hardly wait to try it. A friend of mine is a corvette driving instructor and highly recommend it as well. Do you have stock seats? I do and was thinking about waiting till I upgrade the seats as well as a harness bar, and five point harness.

I have the stock seats. I did lock and tension the stock seat belt. I do not really have a problem with the stock seats. I guess if I was going Autocorss more often I would consider seat replacement. I would not let having stock seats prevent you from trying autocross. Just lock and pull tight the stock belts, adjust your seat to the appropriate position for aggressive driving, let the Z do its thing and enjoy!

I was seriously addicted after the first run, that was spring of 2016, I ran 12 events that season with my C7 Z51. That fall I bought an 02 Z06 and spent the winter setting it up for a dedicated autocross car and made 26 events this past season. By the way you have the fastest color!
