That’s usually what I go by. Keep up with the maintenance and the engine and other drivetrain components will last a long time.

At 125K miles, I missed a shift and bent a valve in my LS1, but up till then it was perfectly fine. I think 250K is entirely reasonable for an engine that's maintained and not abused.

I guess that's the other factor, whether the Corvette is an auto or a manual. With a good driver a manual Corvette should last just as long, but a lot of the manual Corvettes get abused so they often fail prematurely, whereas the autos are usually driven in a more relaxed manner (for the most part).

I bought a 1997 C5 with 125,000 and promptly went on a road trip.....change the spark plug wires, plugs, change the oil AND super unleaded gas only. Have a good time😎

If your car is a 2001 or later model, the EBCM can be rebuilt in Nixa Missouri for a very fair price. Had mine done and works perfect.
