I'm with the opposite crowd. After a break up, realized I had some extra money, so bought myself the Vette!

My lovely wife of 39 years was the major factor in buying our corvette. She was a high ranking executive in a food chain in our area. Bonus time in 1997, i was told i could buy anything i liked. The rest is history.

Default Mustang

No, but my Mustang did. Shortly after the marriage we purchased 2 new 1995 F-bodies and about 6 Camaros and Firebirds later I got my first Corvette. I switched from the dark side. Chevy all the way.

My wife refused to date me after our first date in my mustang. H/C/I blown, geared, loud and rowdy.

Eventually she decided to talk to me again. Vette became part of my engagement pics. Been married 3 1/2 years now. I've had a bunch of other mustangs since. Still refuses to ride in them. Maybe I should've kept it lol.

Met my wife to be in 1974. At the time, I owned a 65 Glen Green Convertible. Asked her to dance at a restaurant/bar right here on Cape Cod. The Vette was parked out front. I asked her if she wanted to take a drive. She did. I don't think it hurt one little bit that she loved the car.

Still have the car and the wife
