Pretty cool vids. One thing though about the emissions, depending on how much you’re planning to drive it you can get it on a collector car insurance policy. I have mine on one and I never have to worry about emissions again. Just a thought for ya.

I like the combined colors of white with black details and red seats, it gives a very racing style

Yes, they told me that when I went to register the car AFTER they told me I had to go through emissions. I actually do have collector car insurance through NCM Insurance. Oh well.

I was 16 years old when I joined. I've loved Corvettes since I was about 5. I'm turning 30 in December this year. This is my first Corvette.

Couple questions about this. Are the premiums expensive, and can you insure the vehicle for a specific dollar amount, as opposed to them basing it on a book value?

What does insurance have to do with state emissions inspection requirements?

Unless you mean getting a classic car license plate, for which emissions requirements on classic cars vary by state.

Still, the insurance you carry should have nothing to do with emissions.

Enjoyed your vids. Beautiful garage, but you need a C5 logo.

It does. In AZ you don't need a "Historic Vehicle" tag, but if you have classic/collector car insurance you do not need emissions because it is driven limited miles per year.

I'm paying about $450/year on my C5 through NCM Insurance on the 6,000 mile/year plan. The 3,000 mile plan was about $60 less. And it's based on agreed value, not book value.

I agree on the exhaust tips!

I was going to suggest to OP to do a video showing him aligning the exhaust tips, lol.

Nice car, though. I always liked the white ones with black rims.

It looks like the H-pipe flange welds on the the the flange that connects to the over axle pipe and muffler has broken. This was a common problem on the early C5's. A muffler shop can re-weld the flange or you can replace the H-pipe with one of the many aftermarket X-pipes since there is a good chance that the other side will break soon too. Or you can try this:
Amazon Amazon
.
If you intend to install long tube headers in the future then I suggest getting the flange re-weded for now.

Just got a chance to check out that first video. Definitely cool, well edited.

As as far as the fuel gauge goes, pretty common in these cars. Next road trip grab a couple bottles of chevron Techron and use them in consecutive tanks. That completely solved the issue for me for several years, it's just now starting to come back.

As for the AC, mine is REALLY cold and blows REALLY hard.
