Pretty cool vids. One thing though about the emissions, depending on how much you’re planning to drive it you can get it on a collector car insurance policy. I have mine on one and I never have to worry about emissions again. Just a thought for ya.

Yes, they told me that when I went to register the car AFTER they told me I had to go through emissions. I actually do have collector car insurance through NCM Insurance. Oh well.

Member since 2004, yet first road trip in the C5? You've either been doing it wrong, or you've been owning other generations of vettes for a while
Haven't watched the videos yet, but I'll check them out when I get done with class today

I was 16 years old when I joined. I've loved Corvettes since I was about 5. I'm turning 30 in December this year. This is my first Corvette.

Couple questions about this. Are the premiums expensive, and can you insure the vehicle for a specific dollar amount, as opposed to them basing it on a book value?

Unless you mean getting a classic car license plate, for which emissions requirements on classic cars vary by state.
Still, the insurance you carry should have nothing to do with emissions.

What does insurance have to do with state emissions inspection requirements?

If you intend to install long tube headers in the future then I suggest getting the flange re-weded for now.

Just got a chance to check out that first video. Definitely cool, well edited.
As as far as the fuel gauge goes, pretty common in these cars. Next road trip grab a couple bottles of chevron Techron and use them in consecutive tanks. That completely solved the issue for me for several years, it's just now starting to come back.
As for the AC, mine is REALLY cold and blows REALLY hard.
