We do apologize about this project taking awhile, but our R&D dept was a little busy with some C6 and C7 projects we were trying to finish out. We are going to post some pictures next week of the project where it is with the 3D parts we already printed off. We haven't made any molds yet so we can still modify the design a bit to get it closer to what everyone wants

Since examples of real working diffusers are available by looking at the C5R's and C6R's...
which have little clearance underneath...
If somebody can make that look pretty without losing/affecting functionality -- I'm in for two of them
So far, unfortunately, we haven't seen anything from the vendor that provides any functionality as a RACE diffuser.

I just dont see something functional selling to those or us that actually drive our cars. My car is low. And while that's functional. I'd pass on it or something like it it doesnt look good and it doesnt spend enough time on the track to justify an ugly low clearance diffuser.
I get you cant please everyone. So just my .02

Thanks again for bearing with us!
The pic above is from the prototype we were developing and fitting on our shop C5 Z06, but after further review on the input that everyone has kindly provided, we decided to take a different approach based on your suggestions.
Here are the latest renders of this project:
Let us know what you think!

I want a RACE diffuser... like the C5R pics you posted. Examples posted previously, and with other examples of RACE diffusers.
It needs to start at the rear cross member were the Diff is mounted.
This thread says RACE in the title....

I personally like the direction you guys are going with the last rendering, which I'm assuming is not a finished product. It definitely looks a lot better than the prototype. In my opinion, you should just delete the word "race" from the title of this thread. Unless you can work miracles, it's going to be incredibly difficult to design a product that works for both people who predominantly track their cars, and those who are purchasing primarily for aesthetics. IMO, most people on this forum do not race their cars, and those who do could likely be better served having a purpose built custom made diffuser to suit their needs. I think based on the products you offer on your website, the intended customer is likely someone who cares more for looks than functionality on a race course. Lets just call a spade a spade, and I look forward to seeing further updates.

Looking better. The fins need to be a little thicker and rounded at the ends instead of coming to a point. This will match the lines of the car better. Ends need to follow the curve of the rear fascia all the way to the rear wheel opening. The part that is sticking down will more than likely get broken off and just doesn't look right. I would lie to see the center where the exhast opening is to follow the curves of the original opening. Smooth transistions like the rest of the lines on the car.

Can it please fit a quad round Borla Stinger catback without modification? The section of the bottom portion that goes under the tailpipes looks pretty narrow. Unless, of course, it’s kept as an open design with no bottom “bar” going underneath the tailpipes.

Hey guys, sorry for the slow updates on this.. We are converting our design department so all our renders are done via cad, so once a design is close we can go straight to printing vs. having to redraw it and then print.
If we can start getting a list going with 10 people interested in this design we can transfer this over and get the project rolling.
