The update is a solid improvement, brings the back end closer to 2018. Since the outlet for the exhaust tips is now enclosed, will the diffuser accommodate most aftermarket sizes? The rendering looks like a "tight fit".

The thread is titled Race Edition

To me, this implies something designed to be functional on the racetrack.

Look at the diffusers on the C5R and C6R for functional designs.

You're getting pretty as an attractive street version, and I question its usefulness on the racetrack.

I want something that maximizes racetrack benefit.

The muffler is in the center and the facyory slits on the bumper are ment for heat extraction

Pretty sure the factory slits are to reduce the air daming of the rear bumper. The exhaust has cooled substantially by that point.

C7 the updated diffuser looks much better! personally I'm looking for something much more functional as well... to the point where I'm looking to possibly make my own... I think to get it fully functional i'll have to do a side exhaust to get it out of the way kind of like this.....

perhaps you could make the diffuser more modular? so for some folks that do have the exhaust "out of the way" you can have a deeper center divergent duct .....just a thought...

I would love to see a final product. I have the Callaway double-D exhaust and having this would be ****! Please email me when you have something ready.

I don't think either are correct. The slits are covered by the muffler, very little air passes through there. There is no reason to cool the mufflers. They are there to break up the surface area for styling. Note that the C6 has no such vents, and the area is empty and would grab much more air.

Default Functional race rear diffuser

Yes, this would be the track version. This is the only proven functional version.

Here is an update on the Rear Diffuser design fresh out from our design department.

Let us know what you think!
This looks a lot better than the first render, more sleek and not bulky. It would be even better if it covered the underneath as well so that our pocket of a rear bumper wont be so harsh.

I think this would look great with my Callaway Double-D exhaust setup. How much?
