Default Out with the old, In with the new!!

I bought my Z06 new in Aug 2000, and ran it 120,000 miles. It is going to a good home in Arizona....as an airport car. It is still a beauty. This is my last glimpse, before the hangar door closes on a chapter of my life.

In with the new 2004 Z51 Convertible, automatic. Stunning beauty!! 20,000 miles. This one is easier for my cute blonde wife to drive, plus......I like the color!!!

Can't imagine letting a Z go, particularly one you bought new, for an auto/vert/base model, but it's your dime. Enjoy. Lower miles is nice...

I actually also bought the 2004 Vert new as well.......But.....OKAY!!!!Let the laughing begin!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought it a second time back from my last wife, who got it in the divorce.

What is an airport car?...........Let's say you live in the NorthWest. And you also have a home in Palm Springs. When you fly your airplane to PS, the Z06 is sitting in the hangar ready to go.

Man... if I can afford houses in both places and a personal plane, there's a Ferrari in there waiting for me.

Hope you enjoy the new one as much as the old.

Quite Sure I couldn't have made that trade, and 100% sure my wife would murder me if I even tried to.

I really like the picture of the new '04. Someone suggested keeping both, not a bad idea. I really like my first vette and probably won't sell it, promised to my youngest boy (now 31).

Two questions: Why not get the C7? Their dropping in price. And again, where are the pictures of the blonde? You brought her into the conversation, we didn't.

We're in Palm Springs now, but I've been looking at facebook pictures of the snow in Desert Aire......my home. I have a hangar there, and would have loved to keep the Z06. But, I'm 71 and starting to think of downsizing my pile of "stuff.".

If you could see inside the hangar. Airplane, RV, boat, 2004 C5, trailer, motorcycle....I just could't squeeze another C5 in there. At this point in my life, I'm glad to have put 120,000 on the Z06, and the new owner is thrilled. Just talked with him as he was going through Weed......on his way to Arizona. The car was pristine.

And the 04' Convertible is a blast.

Here's my beautiful blonde bride (Hey! BBB) at the Tieton State Airport in the Cascades.
