Best tire deal? Hankook V12, NT05, Nitto 555, etc

Melting Slicks
I don't know where the NT05 got a bad rap in the rain, I did several wet autocross days on my 88 GT, hands down favorite "street" tire, they don't last very long with power though.
Nittos run real narrow though, my 315's were as wide as my 275 R6's.

Le Mans Master
I am wondering how the Hankooks compare to Michelins? Anybody have experience with this comparison, I'm about to order new tires for my car and they are only one of three companies that make the combination of tires that fit my car. The only others are Continentals.

Only three companies? Are you running plus sizes?

I just replaced my Hankooks with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. There really is no comparison. The car rides quieter, smoother, and has more wet and dry grip. The Hankooks offer great bang for the buck whereas the P4S is more of a no compromises offering. Comes at a price though.

Drifting
The PO had a fresh set of Nitto NT-05 tires mounted in July in the pseudo C5 Z06 sizes of 275/40-17 & 295/35-18 on the C5 Z06 rims. They are great for having fun on dry roads, driving to and from track day events and running on the track without have to trailer a spare set of rims/tires.
But for me as far as being a warm weather daily driver especially when factoring in wet roads, they may not be the best tire. The new Continental ExtremeContact Sports (which replaced the DW tire) will have to be my go to choice since Michelin does not offer the Pilot Sport 4S in the 17" sizes
