I found this chart many many moons ago where they talked about brake specific fuel consumption under load and rpm and how skip shift utilized this but it would be interesting to see this chart again for values at acceleration through the gears.

Do you know if that (BSFC) was from the 12 volume C5 build Directory. One of our club members was on the C5 build in 1990 and was able to get a copy of the 8 book volume. when he sold his C5 he gave me the collection.
