Default Tis a sad day for me :(

On my way home from work yesterday evening I noticed the Township Road Dept. drowned the roads with Brine Solution. Looks like I'm done with taking my car out. It's now driveway bound until the spring rains wash the roads.

I feel for you brother. I'm across the river in Pennsylvania and snow is coming sooner rather than later...

That's too bad. No salt or brine out yet here on Cape Cod. I'm taking a nice drive today before that happens. We may get snow Friday night

Here in Iowa, they put down brine weeks ago. Why, I don't know because we haven't had snow yet.

Cool day in the Phoenix area, still below 60 degrees at 9:30 MST, but sunny, sunny and sunny,
Day off from Home Depot, taking the '04 out later for a spin.
Just wanted to cheer you all up!

Bummer!
Not as good of weather in North Carolina as our friends in Arizona, California, Florida and other similar spots, but we can probably still get in at least 275-300 driving days a year. I empathize with everyone who has to park their rides for 3-5 months every year.

We all have our crap....hurricanes, tornados, fires and mud slides and earthquakes. What have I missed. You guys always complain about putting away the Vette for the winter and I always complain about this heat. Its 83 degrees and very humid...75%.

No snow or road treatments here yet, but the car is put away for the winter. Hopefully it will be a short winter in terms of bad weather.

Pounder, know your feelings on MI. Got out of the Army in '69 and left my birth state for FL. MD has moderate Winters. I drive all year except when snow/salt/rain is on the roads. No battery tender for me. Love driving the car way to much to store for 5 months.

I had an appointment at Vettenuts tomorrow to have my new-to-me RPM drivetrain, LG drop spindles, coilovers, and swaybars installed.

Thanks to the local weather folks mentioning there may be some snow flurries in middle Tennessee on Saturday, and the genius folks at TDOT, our roads were brined today like they are expecting a Nor'easter.

Unless we get a hard rain, which isn't likely until spring now, that project will be on hold for months.

We typically get about 2 significant snow events per winter here, but because they put brine on the road every time snow is mentioned, my car sits from December to April every year.

They just put the bribe on the roads last nice around DC. Looks like I’m starting my valve springs this weekend.

But around here here the brine will be gone in a week and I’ll be able to take her back out again soon.

I noticed that about Kansas when I moved here from South Dakota in 1993. I get to drive my Z quite often in the winter. We have many weekends where it is dry and in the 50's or 60's and my how she runs when it's cool out!!

Drizzling rain 37 degrees and few snow flurries, but that's not stopping me.
