Default Best option for thinning seat bottom foam? My butt hurts!

Good afternoon everyone, the title kinda says it all. Im looking for the best option for flattened out seat bottom foam. Being right before Christmas I'm really trying to not spend much money, or I would just get all new top and bottom foam. The seat back bolstering is getting a bit tired but isn't an immediate concern, however the bottom has flattened out to the point that I have the corner of some piece of metal digging into my rear the second I sit in the car, and since its my daily driver, I have had a perpetual bruise for the last few weeks since it got to that point. I'm a 270lb bodybuilder type, so I'm pushing this tired old seat to its limit. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've seen complete replacement foam for a little under $100 shipped, and seat repair kits of sorts that come with reinforcement foam to put under my existing foam and some canvas to prevent the wires from digging in for closer to $40-50. Im trying to save money, but longevity and quality is most important, as I will be commuting in this car for a good while. So does anyone have experience with either or both solutions or anything else? I appreciate any and all input!
-Gabe

Any other input on the foam options? The memory foam idea is great, but since my left side is so much lower than the right I feel like it would be tough to get even.

I redid the bottom driver seat just about 1 month ago. I bought the bottom seat foam from Mid America. Their's has a cloth pad formed into the bottom of the cushion to help prevent the wires from cutting into the bottom of the foam. Came out great.

Just get a seat cushion until you have the $ to do it right.

I put the seat rebuild kit in my seats from Southern Car Parts. They came with everything to firm up the seat. Using one of these kits with Pounders ideal of memory foam would bring you seat back into more comfortable ride. It made my seats much better.

I replaced mine with the heavy-duty foam AND added the WCC kit, but you can get the same result with Dominos Auto-Delivery and no tools!

Another short term solution is to get one of those boat cushions they sell in most stores. it will add several inches to the seat so you will have to lower the seat all the way first. Or even cheaper, use one of those stadium cushions that they give away at many events. Those cost you nothing

I replaced the foam and added the seat repair kit as well. I lost my low rider feel but gained the comfort. You may like the low rider feel.

Gabe, replace the foam. Get ballistic nylon, (I got mine in Joann’s). If you’re feeling metal the old foam is toast. Some guys use a piece of carpet pad(not the thin anti-skid stuff) under the foam to firm up the seat. The nylon prevents the wire cut thru.
