C5 "Bra"

I once installed an expensive bra on my one-year-old red 2004 BMW 540i, then drove it in West Texas over a weekend. When I came home and removed the bra, I noticed that the paint looked like it had been dry sandpapered. Lesson learned - I'll never use another one.
Clear bras are a bit expensive to install (and generally you're better off having an experienced installer do it). But once applied, they provide very good protection that lasts for years. I use a liquid cleaner wax (Meguiars) to periodically clean the clear bra and remove bugs, etc. but otherwise just clean it with liquid detailer. Easy peasy.

Novistretch is a great bra. Easy to use and hand washable.

Looks like to me it takes about 5 minutes to do these repairs. I personally don't like the looks of a bra, I would rather see the front of the car...and like some have said, if the bra doesn't fit perfectly, they can wear down the clear coat/paint....and then there's the hassle of having to take them off when the car is washed/waxed...

As others said, anytime I left the area for a show, the bra was on. The inside has a nice felt like surface. Never harmed the paint. Just in time for Christmas, I’ll make you a deal... TODAY ONLY

I leave mine on all year but never drive it in the rain. When I change my Va. stickers on my tags in March I remove the bra, wash the front, clay bar if it needs it or not polish and put two coats of Mcguires wax on it. Been doing this for almost four years and not a mark on it.
Bra still fits like the day I bought it---One thing I do is coat the vinyl bra with Chadwicks tire dressing two to three times a year. Keeps it looking like new.

With the Novi Stretch you can drive in the rain and leave it on. It will be dry before the rest of your car. No marks.

Back in high school in my area the mask look was "in" for a short period of time and I ran one on my Accord. I actually liked how it looked cosmetically at the time. In the less than 1 year I ran it, I could actually see a sunburn line on my hood where the mask sat.
My car was not garaged and did sit in the summer sun with the rays just beating on it. I was surprised that it would show a line in less than a year's time, but it did. I regularly washed and waxed the car.

GM ORM Bra for ZO6 and GS
my earlier post on the OEM bra. It was $130 at the dealer. Here’s a couple photos. Fast install. Good for rain or shine once on. No I stretch is a fabric, hardly good for anything but keeping bugs out of intake area. This bra is strong protective vinyl.

After trying a couple of the vinyl bra's, I didn't like the fit, so returned them. I went with the Xpel clear. It's virtually invisible, and bugs come off easily.

GM bra works great. Had it on all summer for protection on long drives. Took it off last weekend with no marks on the paint. $100 bucks....cheap protection. Just make sure to lay it out in the sun for a while before the first install as it's a pretty tight fit!
