Default Corsa exhaust question.

I've been saving my money for a new exhaust system. I want to hear the car but not be overpowering. I'm thinking corsa sport cat back. My question is do I go with the x pipe also and what is the difference in sound with or without. 04 coupe manual all stock.

the x pipe reduces the popping and gurgling on deceleration. No real difference in volume or tone. There are conflicting tests on performance increase.

the x pipe will do what Crosis said but over the H pipe you will notice a gain with the X pipe system its been proven that it does give more hp then the H pipe will

You will really be fine without the x-pipe on the Corsa Sport system. I have its predecessor, the Indy Pace car system, and it sounds great with the stock h-pipe. There is no drone or popping from the exhaust. Plus the hp gains are very minimal from adding an x-pipe.

I have the Sport on my Z06. When I added the X-pipe, it mellowed the sound just a bit. Took the "edge" off of it.

I had the stock H pipe with Borla Atak, didnt like that sound, I put a Corsa X pipe in and got less gurgle & loudness at idle and a smoother flow on acceleration.

Still have a little bit pf popping on deceleration

I have the Corsa Extremes, and for me anyway the x-pipe was a necessity. The idle gurgling and deceleration popping was too much for my taste.

The Extremes are sweet when you're in it but tame at cruise. Best choice I've made on my C5. I like them over the Sports.

I have the Indy with Tigershark (the only look!) and an in-determinant H pipe. Decidedly strong 'motor-boat' burble at idle. I love that, but others don't.

I've seen tests from several sources that show zero gain to a loss in hp with an x pipe. This is I said there are conflicting tests. There is no proof either way.

1 or 2 hp difference between the h pipe and x pipe with the win going to the x pipe in that setup on the video...other car's will vary

I have the corsa sport exhaust on my Z06 and love it. Louder than stock and no drone (WOT is amazing though). I have the stock H pipe and want to keep it because I love the burbles and pops.
