Paint the rotor center hats black for defense against rust.

Drove a C6ZR1 last week with the flat stick MGW and its one of the best shifters I've used. The side/side spring is a little soft (almost softer than stock) but mechanical feel is terrific.

Tempted to replace my MTI six shooter but I'd get the regular MGW stick as I like the stock C6 **** compared to the ball which is the only option for the flat. When you change the shifter consider a new leather boot. Most aren't supple anymore with the age on them.

Nothing like getting some mods for the car.

Once you get to the install, post up your thoughts on the ease of putting it on the car.

My best advice is to exercise patience. The Vararam is a great CAI, but the install can be frustrating. Doesn't have to be perfect, but take your time and try to get everything lined up.

The MGW is a work of art, and I loved everything about mine in my '04 Z06. (Even the install!)

The caliper bracket bolts will give you the most trouble when you're removing your stock rotors. PB Blaster, and a breaker bar will make the job easier. Good luck, and let us know how everything turns out!

Don't do what I did. When removing the rear rotors. Make sure the parking brake is released. I learned the hard way. On one of them. Rotor is a tad hard to get off when the parking brake is set . Ugh!!! I know I'm dumb.

Just need a larger hammer! I think we all have been there before.

As others have mentioned, take your time on the VR and actually follow the directions. Not a simple install, but worth the effort. You might need the car tuned after this as it can set the dash light off (happened to me).

Watch this video a couple times will help a bunch, do not fasten the ducks to the fog light/vent openings. let it float, it will stay in place !!!
