While I can certainly appreciate that line of thought, I would respectfully disagree with the folks over at GJ... I've have my Craftsman 30 gallon oilless since 2003. It doesn't trip breakers. And I seriously doubt that al of them do to make it considered a known issue. I suspect that there are a number of them that trip breakers and that there is an issue with those that needs to be addressed, but it is easier to lump it together as a known issue.

Another thing: Are you using a light duty extension cord? I tried to use my 5 hp Coleman with a 14 awg cord during cold weather and it would not run. I bought a 12 awg extension cord and it worked fine.
