Default Would my c5 even look better with different wheels?

I struggle with the question on a regular basis. Different wheels? maybe black, or possibly some polished classic ccw's?? At a cost of what 1K maybe closer to 2k? Would it be that much better than what I have (PLASTI DIPPED C6 REPLICAS).

.What is it with everyone doing Black wheels?..I see it everyday..Even sometimes on high dollar cars..It reminds me of the Black steel wheels usually used in winter or for a spare...Makes most cars look really cheap..Just an opinion and I know I'm in the minority as I see it all day...To me nothing beats a polished aluminum or Chrome rim with a huge negative offset...If your gonna go Black,,,center only...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Only you can answer that question.

A lot of people think 18/19 or 19/20 look better. I think rubber band tires look ugly, and since I'm a function over form type of person, more sidewall is better.

Yes, Plasti dip makes wheels look cheap IMO.

Pretty much any rep wheel ‘cheapens’ the look from just factory. Almost always heavier too.

So yes, I think it would look better on a set of higher end wheels, esp ones that aren’t dipped. Your wallet, values or opinion may vary.

Polished is horrible for upkeep and doesn’t look very racey.

Chrome is car show tacky and heavy. When I see big chrome wheels as you describe; they look far more ‘west coast customs’ than racecar.

Black isnt always my #1 choice, but done right they look mean as hell.

I said I like Chrome...Not big tacky Chrome..Save that nonsense for the Escalades...I have 19s on the rear of my car and I feel its too big...I would much rather 18s with a bigger tire..An example would be a set of Classic CCWS in Chrome or Polished vs Black...I just think the Black hides all the nice detail and huge lip on the rim..I guess I'm the "Chrome sheep" of the bunch..

I have the Z06 chrome wheels and really like them. I'm personally not into black wheels

Obviously, as shown by the diverse comments, different people like different things. I've probably had more chrome, polished or satin finished silver wheels than anything else but in many instances the wheel is somewhat driven by the car style and car color.
Ultimately you have to go with the wheel YOU FEEL best suits YOUR car.

I think polished classics would look great on your car, even better if it was lowered... but it's up to you, looks are personal preference and what we think doesn't really matter at the end of the day

In my opinion wheel choice is the single most important element in making or breaking a car's overall look and character. It sort of defines what the car's image stands for.

I don't think what you currently have (design-wise) actually look bad, but the plastidip finish cheapens them drastically.

Only you can decide if spending the money on something else is worth it to you. And things like sizes and finishes are very personal choices. Look through pictures on the forum threads or Google to get a sense of what you like and don't like.

Only you can decide what wheels would be best for your car. I'm not a fan of the all black wheel look, but a nice set of machined faced/black wheels look pretty darn good. I also like the look of silver painted wheels, chrome wheels, and polished wheels.

There are a number of forum vendors that specializes in aftermarket wheels - check out some of their threads and see if anything really catches your attention. There are many different styles, color options, etc. that you can choose from.

There enough threads on wheels you could spend days reading.

As stated it's the single most important element in your cars look.

I think if it were lowered, even just a tad, it would look a lot better. The wheels themselves are not terrible, but I'd personally remove the Plastidip.

The three different styles that I've had on mine, yes they make a difference. L8R ZFLASH
