Would my c5 even look better with different wheels?

.What is it with everyone doing Black wheels?..I see it everyday..Even sometimes on high dollar cars..It reminds me of the Black steel wheels usually used in winter or for a spare...Makes most cars look really cheap..Just an opinion and I know I'm in the minority as I see it all day...To me nothing beats a polished aluminum or Chrome rim with a huge negative offset...If your gonna go Black,,,center only...
Those younger only know the styled wheels as standard equipment so they see those as ho-hum, run-of-the-mill but look at black wheels as mimicking what they see on race cars.
I see all black wheels as creating a negative void in the wheel wells and generally do not care for them. Black center with bright (chrome, polished/brushed, or bright painted) solve that problem and look pretty good with certain cars and/or colors. But that's just my opinion and my opinion matters only to me and to . . . ah, um . . . well, pretty much just me. Maybe my dogs, but their only interest in cars is whether they get to go.

green horn question:
Are the wheels the same size with the wide body?
or do you get a 1" or so 2" wider with the kit? I think my 206 already has a 11" wheel if i remember. think i'm running a 295 now

There's a beautiful set of 18/19 polished cray spiders in the for sale section. The tires are like new. All for $1,500 obo. If the tires weren't run flats they would be in my garage waiting for springtime.
I'm not a black wheel fan either. I've seen many look good up close but from a distance the black wheel surrounded by the black tire gets lost in the black wheelwell.

I think it is largely a generational thing. For those of us old enough (I'm 56) to remember when most cars came with plain old painted (usually black) steel wheels, perhaps dressed up with hub caps or wheel covers, black wheels connote that extreme base model cheap look. Styled wheels in chrome, brushed, polished, or silver paint were upscale options which morphed into standard equipment and as an upgrade option for larger/nicer/more exotic.
Those younger only know the styled wheels as standard equipment so they see those as ho-hum, run-of-the-mill but look at black wheels as mimicking what they see on race cars.
