Can't fix this on chrome or black, or curb rash. These were on a car that got flooded during Harvey, they sat in the flood water for 10 days. A lot of work, but they are almost back to new. L8R ZFLASH

Lucky you don’t have as many spokes as some of the other CCW’s!!! I have C7Z reps, and with 20 spokes they are a PITA.

LIKE THESE, I like polished because it is repairable, I am really fussy about my car & wheels so I do not mind the extra work to keep them detailed & no power tools here, all by hand, about 1/2 hour per wheel & 5000 grit Trizact & polish works wonders on bare aluminum.

Exactly. Polished wheels are the best and no doubt 20 spokes look great. I used the power ball on mine (chrome) with Flitz or Adam’s Paint correcting polish and they look great. Because of the barrel pitting I completely refinished them with 8 coats of paint(self etching primer, regular primer, color coat, clear) so they are not a problem any more, other than the inability to reach in and clean them pretty well without removing the wheel.

I did the brushed finish on the inside for easier cleaning, and use an aluminum sealer, my car see's no rain or a hose washing but I do remove & clean my wheels once a month, and instead of wiping them dry, I blow them dry.

I use my blower too, but if it’s warm out I then have to worry about watermarks. The final wiping process is the key.

The good thing about bare aluminum is things like scratches, oxidation, hard water spots, ect, can be polished out, whereas they can't be with chrome or black wheels. The bad thing about bare aluminum is it either has to be polished all the time to keep it from oxidizing, or you have to seal it with some type of clear coat...

Which starts the whole process over because once the clear coat gets damaged, it must be removed AND the wheel polished.
I had Appliance Aluminum wheels on my ‘86 Blazer, but I can’t remember what I had to do with them.

i really like the wheels in the top picture with the stock bodied Vette, for me they are awesome. imho you've done a good job picking wheels for your ride. to the op, my personal preference is either machined or polished wheels, really offsets the colour of your car. having said that i have black wheels on my Jeep and it looks alright, but on my Vette i have the stock polished wheels, i like em.

Its really all about what you like, tons of different combinations here to look at. I personally like the chrome look on my car but that's my personal choice. Others like the black wheel look. Its all about what makes you happy. Remember if you can walk away from your car in a parking lot without looking back at it at least once then it isn't right for you yet. That's my standard
