Default c6 wheels on a c5

I want to put some 2006 wheels on my 2004. Will they fit without spacers?

I have them on mine, and I had to use 1/4" spacers in the back, they're perfectly fine and I pass VA inspection (they are really ****). I've had them for 3 years without a problem.

C6 OEM Chromed 5 spokes on my 04. Front fit perfectly. Out back I used a 20mm Adapter to bring the tire out flush with the fender.

I have read about this so many times. Just trying to get this right in my mind. A standard c6 front wheel fits fine without spacers, but in the rear, the wheel will sit too far INBOARD?

I have 2009 C6 Y spokes on my car. The 19x10 rear required a 1" spacer/adapter to get the wheels to fit perfectly. 3/4 would of been fine but the 1" is perfect.

yea you definitely need spacers. Here's a pic looking straight down on the rear fender with no spacers installed. Looks terrible lol.

Yup.. ran mine (19” deep dish chrome thin spoke repros in c6 offset) without adapters for a couples months after I got them thinking it wasn’t that big of a deal.. but it just never quite looked right so now after installing the rear adapters it looks perfect to me.. sticks out just a c**t hair and definitely looks much more aggressive

Looks great.

After lowering, have you noticed any difference in the ride, or the handling?
Once I find the c6 wheels I want, and have the new tires installed, I may want to lower it on the stock bolts.

Bob.
I had mine lowered on stock bolts before I put the C6 wheels on it and I didn't notice anything different in the ride once the bigger wheels and tires were put on.
One word of advice though, if your going to lower it, do it after you get the C6 wheels on it and then go get a 4 wheel alignment. I had mine aligned when I lowered it and put new tires on it. After i swapped to C6 wheels and tires it pulled slightly to the right and the center of steering was off so a re-alignment was in order.

Sorry if it sounds confusing so in a nutshell...do the mods then get it aligned.
