Crashed my Vette into my DD
This has to be, by far, the stupidest thing i have ever done in my life, easily surpasses running my foot over. I was backing my Vette down the driveway to wash it and i only needed to move it about 4 feet. i push the clutch and roll back...with the door open...and the door hits my other car.Just really, really stupid! My CTS is actually worse, front fender dented in pretty good. My insurance company will love this one.

When something like this happens you say to yourself " how could I have been so stupid to leave the door open" (or other dumb thing). But guess what? Everybody makes mistakes.
Some you can fix and some you can't. This one can be fixed and you'll learn from your mistake. Hope it works out for you...

Don't feel bad - I had mine in the street - left the door open for 10min to run in and get a drink - while I'm inside the doorbell rings - lady across the street is there (with her humongous BF) all teary-eyed - backed into the door - her ins made it good - but now I never leave my door open on the street any more....

I feel for you - tough to see the car damaged like that. Best of luck getting it fixed.

It probably doesn't help, but at least no one was hurt.
I'm sure we all feel your pain, but we've probably all done something along those lines at one time or another.

Years ago left my stick shift Mercedes in my perfectly level carport running while I grabbed a glass of water. Came out it had rolled (from the perfectly level carport) down the driveway, across the street, across the neighbors front yard to his backyard fence. Minimum damage but oh what could have been.

Worst one I ever saw...
Neighbor takes his wife's car for a rare time, early Saturday morning. Starts it but has to run into the house. Leaves it in neutral, no parking brake.
It rolls out the driveway, down the embankment (talking too steep for plants, and around 20' or higher, steep driveways all go sideways), bounces at the bottom and lands straddling the embankment and street.
Ouch. Had to get a tow truck to drag it out. Done.
Yours ain't too bad.

I have done worse,Put my nissan frontier chrome bumper into the rear fender of my girlfriends boss car. Brand new Acura suv. He didnt even have plates yet. I was backing out and got the SUV. He was pretty cool about it & was glad I had Ins & didnt do a hit and run. His last 2 car hits in downtown,no ins or license.

I know your pain. Last week I filled my diesel F250 up with gas... $1,570.00 f-up. On top of the $2,100 I had just spent on new wheels and tires for the vette.
