Maybe I missed it, but what's the price comparison between the two?

NVM, saw it, $750 vs $250. Insurance wouldn't help cover that?

non-HUD windshield from Safelite: $289
HUD windshield from Safelite: $749

I only carry liability on this car so insurance will not cover the windshield

I finally got around to jacking the car up and installing the skip shift eliminator. Changed the rear brake pads while I was in there

I have a pretty severely leaking valve cover gasket so I figured id start tearing into it. While in there why not upgrade the rocker arm bearing to trunnions and change the valve springs and valve stem seals. More pictures to come as my parts arrive. So far i have the rockers off and the stock bearing pushed out.

I also found the water pump leaking so I have a new one coming with new pulleys and belt.

Well I just got a surprise that my annual commuting miles will reduce from 30,000 miles per year to 7,000. I was offered a new job close to home. Looks like I will be driving this car much more day to day and less long commutes.

Absolutely love what you've done with the car. Tasteful and functional mods that modernize it without too much craziness. Would love to find me a set of rear Z06 wheels to put on the front of my vette. The recycling of the seats was a great move as well, they look great!
