Default What is it with this site?

Corvette forum is the only site where it takes a long time for all pages to load on both of my computers.

All other sites, the pages load instantly, regardless of the site I am on.

Does it have something to do with the software on this site?
Now, when I click on "submit" for this post, it will take about 30 or 40 seconds before the post is loaded.
Also I have changed to a different browser to test, and still get the same results, but only on this site.

Bob.

Umm, no, it's not.

The forum pages are loading just fine on this computer (i7 processor/Win 10). However on another laptop I use, which is an i3 processor/Win 7, it is slow as heck.

I have 2 different laptops and a desk top and the pages load fine on all 3 machines. Two are Win 8.1 Pro and the 3rd is Win 7 Pro. Processor on the machines vary from an i3 to an i5 to an i7. No preceivable difference in the speed of page loading on any of the the 3.

I'm traveling now with one of my lap tops and load times are good even on a hotel's not especially fast internet connection.

In the past I have had issues with page load times from this site but finally found it was a DNS issue with my internet provider in that they did not have the Forum IP address correctly referenced.

The tires? but they like being in the closet.
The ****(and I do have some) would affect all sites and possibly the three browsers I have.

The problem only comes up on this site.
I noticed this started about three or four weeks ago.
Anything different happen on this site back then?

Mine downloads and posts pretty fast. My only problem on here is that when somebody posts up a video, I just get a big blank gray square. No video. What's up with that?

I've been having problems seeing images tagged with the IMG codes on my work wifi, desktop or iPad.

I have since switched to attaching pics to the forum via the paper clip attachment icon vs the postcard mountain range method.

I can see all images as attachments that way along with IMG based from another site and not uploaded to CF directly.

I know it's my work doing it but this may help others (have seen this mentioned before)

HTH someone.

Sometimes I get that grey square when I first visit the site, but it is only about 2" square, then disappears.
I am running windows 10 on one computer, and the other is 8.1

about the happy tires.........so they come out of the closet when you get new wheels?

post your slow loading problem in the help section...I do not think it is a forum problem but your computer problem......maybe something to do with the need to clear your catch...cookies and sign in again...that's what happened with my problem... and J.T can probably help you...he has helped me fix my stuff before

and btw...hope you keep hand sanitizer next to your computer...I do...

My only complaint is when I get an email referring to a thread I've been following, I can't unsubscribe. I keep getting an error msg.

I was going to post that mine is real slow loading, but calguy beat me to it. Good to know I'm not the only one. As far as operating systems and all that other computer stuff, I don't have a clue what I have. Windows something or other I guess. I know use Firefox. And aside from being super slow, if I go to a post and then try to go back, it won't let me. I have to go to the forums tab at the top and then go to C5 general. And if it hasn't totally reloaded, I end up on the main page. But other than that, it works fairly well.

I'm not having an issue with load speed on my PC; my iPad is slower but it also is operating with a much smaller memory and slower processor. I do occasionally get a "no prefetching allowed" note when I'm trying to go back on the pages, but learned if I just continue to go backwards the note goes away and I get where I'm trying to go.
I agree that a large cache/history may be slowing your computer down. I used to have that some, but have set my system up to clear history and cookies every time I go out of Firefox and have had a pick up in speed.
