Sold The Z06, bought a Viper! Good bye for now!
Just wanted to say bye for a while, but after having 11 Corvette's decided to try something new. Bought a Dodge Viper Convertible SRT-10. It is a true beast! Not as refined as the vette, harder to get in and out of, much rougher ride, BUT freaken fast as ^*#@. It's a torque monster! Interior and seats are so much nicer and better put together that the vettes I've owned as well. Any way, I'll be back I'm sure but for now, thanks to all and see ya on the dark side!

Wow, a member here since 2006 and nearly 5,000 posts. That's impressive, but 11 Corvettes- even more impressive! As one of the newer members of this forum, owner of my first (and likely only) Corvette I wish you farewell and I am certain that you and your experience will be missed here. Do check in from time to time.
With that said, your new wheels are amazing. Life is short, you should experience as much of it as you can and personally, I can think of no better way than a convertible sports car (and I think you'd be hard pressed to find a more archetypal and truer sports car than a convertible Viper). Drive that Viper safe, and drive it often. Well done.

Hey enjoy the ride. Not a Viper or vert guy, but I get wanting a change even just for the sake of change. I'm sure you will have a blast.

At least the wheels of your Viper resemble Z06 wheels, so maybe you just went to the dim side and not the dark side.

IMO a V/10 will never sound as a good as a GM V/8. I like the Vipers but for me they are too single purpose. I love the nice ride of a C5 and the change in it's personality when I floor it. Looks like a very nice car . Enjoy it!

Congrats on your new Viper. That 10 cylinder makes a lot of low end torque. Great handling cars.
I have a Gen 2 GTS and love it. Enjoy it.

Congrats on the Viper purchase. A few years ago, I parked my C5 next to a blue/white SRT-10 coupe. Had a good chat with the new owner. In person, they are such exotic looking cars. Made my C5 coupe look like an ordinary grocery getter.

Congrats on your Viper and hope you enjoy the heck out of it. Do hope that someday you get back into Corvette ownership.

2005, 25K miles, 505HP no traction control you have to be careful, but the rear tires are very large so it hooks up pretty good! Handles much better than the Z06. Thanks all, yes I will check in from time to time.
