144,000 miles for that kind of price scares me.

Ok, I see what your saying, sent a PM. I know all about desperate selling as last year I had to let a Guzzi go, lost $7k on it.

That '05 in the ad with 55K miles for $19,5 is the one to buy. That is what I was saying.

Here's a 05, 6M, yellow, 55,000 miles, Z51, asking $19.5k.

Here is what i got from you starting this thread. That you were going to sell your car for what price i don't know. And run right out and buy a C5 for almost the same money. Sorry I don't think these C5 will ever depreciate as far as the C4 has. The C5 is the forefather of the modern corvette. Like it or not. They are two different animals. And you are right we are C5 lovers.

we all want you to score a nice car.......

if you have cash and a long window something always turns up because people fall on tough times....buying a car from a distressed seller often falls through since as soon as some one else shows up with more $ they ditch you.

price and quality go hand in hand......a beat up C5 for a low price is not a bargain.

last thought...buying a car cheap from a guy who wants to dump it should lead to lots of questions.

good luck i am sure you will have success one way or the other

Thanks, no hurry, have a pretty mint 92 right now, just looking for newer, 6M and faster. 350-400hp will be fine.

I'm beginning to believe something is terrible wrong with many people nowadays. Inquired about two Corvettes off Craigslist, asked to arrange for a showing, nothing, no response, never mentioned price, both ads still up and running. Another thing, people do not want to talk to others on the old fashion phone. Is this a millennial thing ??? No I'm not going to text someone over a 20k item !!!

1)

Text is great, it makes it very easy to refer to specific things said in the conversation. Whether it's email or sms/text, I prefer to have everything written out.

But then some people prefer phone, and that's okay too.

2)

The most 'boomer thing is to complain about millennials.

Average age of a C5 owner is probably 50-55.
