Can you fit a cat back in the trunk?
I am planning on attending the Pomona Swap Meet this weekend and am hoping to find a cat back exhaust. Would these fit in the back of a c5 or should I see about borrowing a truck for the day? Has anyone pulled this off in their C5? Thanks in advance

With a coupe, yes a catback will fit. Not sure about a Vert or Z06.

The coupe can fit an amazing amount of stuff. I once took home a 5 foot long standing desk in my coupe. I've also taken home numerous 5 and 6 foot long wire shelves.

Keep in mind it is technically only an axle back. The mid pipe contains the cats and runs a good portion of the underneath. What you'll be bringing home will likely be the over the axle pipes and the rear muffler section with tips. These will be two parts that you'll connect with band clamps. So the overall size is more in bulk than length.

I put an entire B&B bullet exhaust system AND LG Longtube setup in the trunk of my ZO6. I had to everything out of the boxes and do some Tetris problem solving. But it all fit just fine.

Inspect the flanges on the stock H pipe after you remove the stock system. The welds have a tendency to crack and fall off.

tiger fit?
Years ago I worked at a LM stealership when the mercury cougar was introduced. Fomoco came to the dealerships with live a Cougar for a promotion in a Grand Marquis station wagon. I remember this animal filled up the whole rear interior of the wagon. Fitting a tiger in a vette might be a problem!
BTW...it was quite a sight to see when the trainer threw a chunk of beef in the wagon at feeding time.

I have a vert. there is enough room in the back of the verts to fit both factory mufflers. I had to drive 100+ miles away to pick up a set of Ti mufflers and bring them back home. Easy fit in the vert and the trunk closes with no problem.
