Almost forgot about this, the business card that came with my brackets. If in the market for brackets, you may try to hit them up directly and save a few bucks on the brackets.

I realized as I was getting in the C5 today I never took pictures of both against a wall. This is too close, but better than nothing. Sorry for the phone pictures.

Finally got my fog bulbs in, something a little different than most.....they're dual color. When you first turn them on, they are white. Turn them back off and back on and they're yellow. HIDs are still a better option, but since I use the twilight feature figured that'd be hard on the ballasts so went this direction. These replaced a set of orange LED bulb I had from the WS6, but they were only for decoration like in original post.

I forgot to take pictures against the wall, but they have a cutoff against the wall unlike the orange ones. Even though these are just COB style bulbs, they are brighter than the orange ones. I can at least tell if they're on or off while going down the road.

Happened to come across a couple of pictures pre-retrofit so figured I'd post for comparison sake. As you can see the hot spot is very low, the cutoff is decent other than the horrible step (if you can call it that) and you can tell the beam width is horrible.

First one was with 2 Morimoto XB55 ballast (I bought new when I first got the WS6 a few years ago) & Chinese H11 bulbs I had on hand. I transferred them to the C5 when I got it.

One of my ballasts died, so the 2nd picture is 2 XB35 ballasts that I bought on TRS closeouts, same Chinese bulbs. As you can see there is DEFINITELY different color temps due to mix-matched ballasts. I do think the camera on my P2XL exaggerates the color difference quite a bit, but still noticeable (aka embarrassing) in person.

I invented my own High 4 mod and leave on high beams all the time because I know even that is not as bright as the blinding monster trucks and new cars coming toward me on what they may call "low beams."

You basically run with your high beams 24/7?

I'm in Louisiana like you and those trucks with leveling kits and lifts **** me off because those ignorant people don't know how to re-adjust their lights accordingly and/or running HIDs in their reflector headlights. I flash 1-2 people daily on my 14 mile trip to work and would be my motivation for figuring out how to running quad projectors again.

Bringing this back... question for Infinite or Tsumi How difficult would it be to fab up some sort of bracket/mount and modify the ACA housings to use their original projectors in the high beam spot after retrofitting the better bi-xenon projectors into the low beams? I'm sure with some cutting (stock up on dremmel cutting wheels...LOL) and proper adhesive that you could secure them. Or is it not even worth the effort? Curious on your thoughts.

Not worth the effort. You're better off sticking Mini H1 projectors into the high beam reflector. The shaft should be able to go through the bulb opening, and you tighten down the nut on the other side.

I would use something like this on the high beam side: https://www.lightwerkz.net/index.php...projector.html

Wait, so the product you linked would insert on the reflector side and be secured on the back side in place of the 9005 or 9006 bulb? I forget which bulb is in the high beams for the ACAs. That actually looks quite interesting from what I'm seeing in that link.

Yep. Mini H1 projectors have a threaded shaft 20 mm in diameter that fits in 9005 and 9006 sockets. The ones I linked have a 19 mm shaft. These also have a 19 mm shaft and have low and high beam functions, but at much higher cost: https://www.lightwerkz.net/index.php...rojectors.html

Interesting. Never seen something like that before. Thanks for the insight and links. I'm thinking that a set of the amazon/acme bi-xenons and the other mini projectors you suggested might be a project for in the future. Sure would improve the lighting and should be able to get the alignment corrected pretty well.

Alignment might be trickier, as there is no independent adjustment. I'm not sure how easy it would be to shim things to align them.

Nothing a bit of JB Weld and some duct tape can't fix. LOL

I'm guessing that once opened up and worked on that it would HOPEFULLY be able to be adjusted. Sooner or later someone will have to try it. Those hi-beam inserts look daymn awesome to me.

If I was to open my ACA's, I'd put dual MH1's in mine and shim the high beam side to align. ACA's seem to be Permaseal, which I've read is a pretty big PITA to open. I'd love to have quad low/hi again, but can't beat the simplicity of just installing a generic H1 on the low beam side.

Is the retrofit as straight forward as you show above? How much total cost did this run? Where did you get the ACA headlights?

Yep, it's literally that easy since all sizes are listed to the trip to the hardware store should be quick.

I bought the ACA from a sponsor on here, JW Motorsports. Other than the cost of them, the brackets and generic H1's off amazon would cost around $100 plus the little bit of hardware and tape.

Those look like they are the ACA style housings that we are talking about using for the modifications. The projectors that come in those housings, while leaps and bounds better than the OEM reflector are not ideal and can be improved upon.
