I assume ac delco on plugs and wires?
Or are their better ones to use for my 04?
How often are people changing these?
Thx.

I use the AC Delco Iridiums and GMPP performance wires on my car - very happy with them.

Default GMPP performance wires

Same setup and very happy with them. I changed out the plugs first and it just wasn’t running as smooth as I hoped after the engine warmed up. Decided to change out the wires because even though they looked okay, I didn’t know when they were installed (car had 124K miles). I swapped them out with the GMPP performance wires and it ran as smooth as a sewing machine. Great combo.

The timing of changing the spark plugs obviously depends on the type of driving you do but 100k as recommended is too much mileage in my opinion.

What about a very low mileage '03? Are you just going by mileage, or do you take into consideration years?

FANCY high dollar Wires and plugs WILL NOT ADD HP/TQ.

A good quality plug and ignition wire will RESTORE the potential of what you already have.

Like others have stated, I use the GM Performance RED wires and AC Delco iridium plugs. Price, quality and performance are excellent

The GM Performance wires are well constructed, fit 100% and last a long time without any issues.

I don't like the MSD wires because the boots are very soft and tear easily.

AC Delco makes basically the same plug with your choice of double platinum or iridium.

Iridium (part # 41-110) is less than $1 more than platinum (part # 41-962) so that's what we use. It can potentially help a rough running car better than platinum.

$3 rebate/plug makes them awfully cheap.

I used the cheapo ngk tr5 in my car when it was stock/lightly modded and now use the tr6, both work great and are roughly $20 for a set of 8... not saying the delco iridiums are bad plugs, they aren't, but they also aren't 3 times as good as the ngk's in my opinion
