Yes I agree a pot hole is a pot hole no matter what. Lol. About 5 hrs away. Not sure what spring rate I will go. I don’t track my car. Just for street. I will have to check with them. Let us know what you think of them when you get them on. The guys posting over in the autocross section love them.

yeah they sold me on them. i was going to go qa1 but i was seeing some guys were having issues with shock fade with them. plus to be honest the single adjust ability appealed to me. i know dual is nice but its' one of those things where you start messing with too many settings and it gets hard to figure out your setup (at least for me).

and for the $ i figured i'd give them a try.

i was going to wait on the exhaust but i'm probably going to start it this week. the car is half torn apart inside waiting on parts anyway... any tips/suggestions for the header install? i saw some guys say these went in fine from the top. which would be good since the quick jack gives me 18" (although i can get more with stands and blocks).

coilovers are on order. i have a feeling they'll be a few weeks.

When you remove the starter, make sure that you clean all the connections and properly tighten them upon reinstall

The Neg battery connection on the block has a very small black ground wire under the main NEG Terminal.. Make sure you don't forget to re- install it.

Remove the sparkplugs or this can happen:

Super happy with this c6 shifter. Going to still do the anti venom mod but no regrets on this one. Kiddo and I just went for a RIP.

When you get your new AldanAmerican Coilovers maybe you can post pics of the install on here. That would really help a lot of guys looking to do them. There is on on you tube but it is with the C6. Does not help much. Thanks Dude!!!

So I'm still waiting on my coilovers to ship and for the long tubes to come back from ceramic coating. I got to looking around and decided the old seats looked a little tired even if the leather is in good shape.

so these

Will be up for sale soon. Probably try and get 150 out of the good stock leather.

and these will be in sometime in may lol

Those are medium grey on the light parts. I ordered those as dark grey.

also. I am refining the track addict app. I ordered an obd2 bluetooth module but I was playing with it a little tonight without it

https://youtu.be/ZkNNm7dRtdg

so now it's just a waiting game on parts lol.

I just ordered the aldan coilovers aswell. I spoke with both aldan and tps. The order went out to Alden yesterday. I opted for a new feature with a thrust bearing upgrade. Aldan said typically it takes about a week to build and ship the kit out. They also said that they are doing away with the long body shocks.

Track addict is a nice app. I did have to use an approved bluetooth obd2 reader tho. My 15$ amazon special would read on my f250 but not in the vette The update helped it alot. Its still kind of laggy if you run too many channels with it. My throttle position lags some. (sure the other channels do aswell). Have you tried Racerender to go along with it? I cant make any videos past 3 mins with it???? maybe I need to upgrade from the free version

BTW cars coming along nicely

what does the thrust bearing give you? I'm not familiar with that.

thanks man!

My understanding is that it allows the spring to roll on a bearing. So changing ride height will be easier.

Great build you got going 2k2!! You're covering just about all the mods most of us do... but you're doing them all at once! Props on all your hard work!!

Looking forward to seeing the final (if there is such thing ) result.

damn this rabbit hole lol.

with the headers off it'll be way easier to replace the motor mounts... so ordering a set of poly mounts.

If i'm tearing things down that far i might as well pull the rack and do the crank and pin it... so now looking at harmonic balancers lol.

so i slowed my roll a bit. i ordered the basic powerbond harmonic balancer and a set of solid rubber motor mounts (rather than fluid filled). i'm just going to toss these on while it's apart for the suspension/long tubes and worry about upgrading the harmonic balancer and mounts next spring. kinda starting to become a black hole of $ sitting in the garage lol. and i'll have it all torn apart for the blower then anyway. so it'll be a little easier to swallow big $ on mounts and a really nice balancer.

yeehaw. just sitting here waiting on parts... still...
