Default Sway bar end link

So had to yank the tire to pull the PCM today so I can send it out for a ECS mail order tune. Inspecting the suspension it appears the bushings on the sway bar end link are shot. The plastic is cracked. Safe to say I should replace these?

Get the OEM end links that came on the later model C5's, as they are metal. Or....ante up a little more and get something like a set of Steinjager adjustable end links.

Yes, I'd say it is way past time to replace those end links.

I recommend doing a full sway bar upgrade. C6 Z51 sway bar kit from Cultrag is my recommendation.

Ok, thanks gentlemen. Was just thinking of doing shocks soon also. Was thinking C6 Z06 shocks....maybe the C6 sway bar would complement it nicely! Mine is a 99 coupe with the original Z51 suspension. Any problem with C6 parts fitting?

I went this way, after removing the double-heim's that came with the Johnny O/Pfadt bars. Much quieter, grease-able, all metal and lifetime warranty.

Thanks for that info about the moog. Mine are starting to make noise and it's driving me nuts. I have the GM metal links on now so these moog ones will be getting ordered soon.

I'm running these now - and had them apart when replacing the shocks last weekend. With 10k on them they seemed in good condition.

I had these and was planning to install them - but the bolts are too big to fit through the holes on the OEM sway bar! Not sure what I'll do with them. The old ones went back on...

I would replace them.

After I bought my car and took a look, the rear sway bar links were actually cracked. I have no idea why GM was so cheap. I upgraded to the aluminum I-beam parts.

Just ordered a set of Ecklers end links. Looks like an improvement over the stock plastic ones!

I installed a set of those on my car, a LONG time ago. Yes, the bolts were "snug" going through the holes in the sway bar, but a little "finessing" got them in place. I don't put a lot of miles on my car, but after 15-16 years, and about 20,000 miles, they still are working well.

I purchased from them. Got the sway bars and the C6 Z06 shocks. New end links are an option.

Just a point, but with standard sized tires the usual set up is C6Z51 bars and C6Z06 shocks.

The C6Z06 bars are too stiff (basically you break traction before you get to use the total movement range......which means the slightly slimmer Z51 bars will flex longer with the grip you have....thus not breaking traction).

Buuuuut......thats only when really pushing it anyway.

Question for you all that have the Moog end links. How do you grease the drivers side bottom zerk? I have a 90 degree grease fitting for my grease gun but that seems to be the only way to get to it. Other then that it seems one would need to remove the nut a little to get enough room. That one zerk is the only one that is going to be the semi-pain to get done.
